Post 71 Years on
My Father just missed out on WWII in terms of joinig the forces, living as he did nr Sutton, Surrey he would cycle to the Downs to watch both the RAF and Luftwaffe flyover as he tells me he dreamed of flying a Spitfire.

Ultimately he joined the RAF for his National Service in 1946.

During his teenage Years he was an active member of the ATC and in 1943 got to take his first flight in Dragon Rapide from Halton, Nr Wendover, Bucks, 72 Years on we took him to Duxford for his 2nd flight in a Dragon Rapide and during the flight we were joined by his favourite ever aircraft, he did find the whole event very emotional and I can wholeheartedly recommend it as a day out

They're incredible.  Clapping

No time for the self-proclaimed 'experts'. 'A Raptor will NEVER fly the loop','G-iNA will never fly the loop', F35s aren't cleared low-level. Wrong, wrong and wrong. Then they crucify people for asking..
